Q: When are you open?
A: We are open when the goats are out! Generally our Warehouse is open EVERY Friday - Saturday from 9 - 5. We are also open varying days & hours for Off-Site Estate Tag Sales. We will be happy to buy or consign your items if you make an appointment by calling Kimberly Ann Calos at 804-586-1633.
Merchandise Availability and/or Holds:
As we are frequently out on appointments, we are unable to answer any questions about item specifics or availability via email, telephone, or social media leading up to our Estate Tag Sales. We will do our best to answer questions during our weekly Estate Tag Sales held EVERY Friday & Saturday from 9 - 5. Please call us if you have a question at 804-586-1633. We do not hold items.
Phone & Internet Orders:
We prefer to sell in person; however, we will be happy to make other arrangements based on circumstance. We do not ship or deliver. All Sales Final.
Please bring help to load large items. Petersburg Pickers is not able to assist in loading large or heavy items.
Q: What type of items do you accept?
A: We buy or consign Antiques, Collectibles, Furniture, Top Designer, Amazing Vintage and Unique Clothing & Accessories, Gold, Sterling, Fine, Estate, & Fabulous Costume Jewelry, Original Art, and Home Decor. We will buy or consign nearly anything a goat would eat—from Single Items to Entire Estates.
Q: Do you buy items?
A: Depending on the items we may choose to buy them outright. Whenever possible, we try to buy items instead of consigning them. Please keep in mind we only buy or consign what we think we can sell.
Q: What is your consignment split?
A: 50/50. You will get paid 50% of the final sale price of an item.
Q: How do you keep track of my items?
A: We code all items sold with a unique consignor code. As items sell, we record a general description of the items, your code, and the amount for which it sold.
Q: When do I get paid?
A: We mail consignors' checks monthly following the month in which the items sold. You will get one check for all items sold.
Q: I want to consign with you, but do I have to let my items go through your markdown schedule?
A: Yes. All items are subject to store discounts.
Q: How long do you keep items on consignment?
A: Two Sales if they have not sold.
Q: Can you tell me what I sold during the sale?
A: No. We do all of our paperwork by hand. We are unable to give out any information until we have completed the paperwork. You will receive a list of all items sold with your payout check.
Q: What happens to unsold merchandise?
A: Any merchandise we pick up that has not sold by the end of your consignment period becomes property of Petersburg Pickers and is generally donated to charity. Any items that you bring to us that have not sold may be picked up by you during regular business hours the last day of your consignment period. You are responsible for collecting any unsold merchandise. Due to sheer volume, we are unable to call to remind you. If items are not picked up by close of business the last day of your consignment period, items become property of Petersburg Pickers and are generally donated to charity.
Q: How do I know what I sold?
A: A list of all items sold including description and sales price will be included with your consignment check.
Q: When can I bring my items to you?
A: We can only accept consignments at the Warehouse during sale hours or by appointment. If you come outside of these Days/Hours, we may be unable to serve you. If you cannot bring your items during these times or have an entire house full for us to pick up, please call us at 804-586-1633 to set up an appointment!
Q: I have some items, can you tell me what they are worth?
A: Yes, we will happily appraise your items. Pricing varies, based on the number of items. We are also more than happy do to Estate Appraisals. Please contact us directly for pricing inquiries.
Q: Where do I park, especially on Saturday?
A: Free parking is available in the lot across Guarantee Street from our Warehouse. We are situated on nearly an acre of land, so there is ample parking. Please do not block any driveways, park outside of designated lines, or block other cars. Due to the sheer volume of customers, we will tow any rogue cars. Please, On Fridays, DO NOT park in the un-lined asphalt lot on Wythe Street--you will be towed.
